They specialize in diagnosing, treating, and directing a comprehensive rehabilitation plan for patients with conditions ranging from acute sports injuries to chronic conditions like arthritis or neurological disorders. Physiatrists must have a Medical Degree (MD) or a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree, followed by a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
