At times, they may work in high-stress environments, thus the need for resilience and good stress management skills.

Before becoming a Cardiologist, a professional must first obtain a bachelor's degree, then complete medical school earning them a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree. Following this, they must complete a three-year residency in internal medicine and a three-year fellowship in cardiology.
