Anesthesiologist Needed for Locum Tenens Coverage at Hospital in Potsdam, NY

A busy hospital is seeking an anesthesiologist for locum tenens coverage.
In Potsdam, New York, visitors can explore the scenic beauty of the Adirondack region through outdoor activities like hiking, biking, and kayaking. The position offers a shift from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., though the schedule may vary. The role involves inpatient care, performing epidurals and general anesthesia, scheduling surgeries, and potentially supervising CRNAs, along with other duties as assigned (any additional questions can be discussed during the interview). The expected patient volume is 10-15. BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required, with a preference for these certifications to be in hand at the time of submission, although we will consider allowing the provider to obtain one certification after the offer. Candidates must be board-certified, but we will also consider board-eligible providers. Types of cases include B&B, Ortho, and OB, which is required. Supervision or medical direction will be provided (for CRNA roles), but candidates need to be comfortable working independently. There are 5 ORs and 2 procedure rooms in the facility, with 2 MDs and 8 CRNAs in practice. The EMR system used is Epic, and anesthesia is integrated into Care Connect.
